science through image, observation, and visual storytelling.

Born in Lisbon, Portugal, on 1979. Drawing has always been my way of observing and understanding the world, from landscapes and biodiversity to the small details that often go unnoticed. Over time, that instinct evolved into a practice combining visual communication, scientific illustration, and storytelling. I have been working in graphic design since 2005, including more than a decade within the pharmaceutical industry, where precision and clarity became central to the way I think and work. Today, my practice moves between design and illustration, developing visual narratives for cultural, environmental, and commercial contexts. Living in the Azores has deeply influenced this direction, bringing nature, place, and observation to the center of my work. I work across both digital and analogue processes, always searching for images that feel thoughtful, human, and grounded in detail.
